Do you know how many dogs are abandoned in SG each year? Countless.
Buying a pet dog on impulse, or as a form of novelty, many owners ended up giving away their dogs to welfare organisations such as SPCA or abandoning them on the streets. Seriously, where is their sense of responsibilty? And the cruel truth is, many of these unwanted dogs will be put to sleep if no one wants to adopt them.
Let me quote what may seem a cliché to everyone - "
A dog is a man’s best friend"…How many times have you heard that phrase before? Perhaps a thousand times. But sadly, how many people out there really put these words to heart?

The other day, a stray dog appeared at Eileen's office.
Thinking that it might be someone's lost pet, they called SPCA, and only to find out that the poor dog has no owner at all. Despite a hectic work schedule, they decided to keep the dog and it had been under Eileen's care for a couple of days. Coincidentally, this dog appeared in the newspapers in conjuction with World Animal Day.

Over the weekends, i visited this lovable dog. (it's a female dog with no name) At the first sight, she pranced around me excitedly and began sniffing and licking me with curiousity. Although i fear big dogs, she is likeable and very friendly towards me. Thus, we decided to bring the dog out in the hope to allow her to bask in the nature and also mingle with other dogs. We brought her to a dog cafe in Turf city.

*Good girl lying on me in the ride, coz im giving her massage!! Haha*

*Woof, the dog wasn't looking into the camera at all. lol *
Not many dining places in SG are pet-friendly. But this cafe situated in Turf city caters specially for dogs and their owners to dine together. Dining in a dog cafe is such an interesting and enjoyable experience. hahahaha.
Because.... all the dogs come to you....
Like how bees are attracted to honey.... Haha.

Illustrations above are just for fun :)

i like the feeling.
Our canine fella greet us with a wag and a lick.
To us, she is just a dog, but i know, to her, we are her only friends.
Love your pets, because, you mean the world to them.

"A man’s dog stands by him in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in sickness. He will sleep on the cold ground, where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near his master’s side. He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer, he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounters with the roughness of the world. He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he were a prince. When all other friends desert, he remains. When riches take wings and reputation falls to pieces, he is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the heavens.
If fortune drives the master forth an outcast in the world, friendless and homeless, the faithful dog asks no higher privilege than that of accompanying him to guard against danger, to fight against his enemies, and when the last scene of all comes, and death takes the master in its embrace and his body is laid away in the cold ground, no matter if all other friends pursue their
way, there by his graveside will the noble dog be found, his head between his paws, his eyes sad but open in alert watchfulness, faithful and true even to death. "
- Eulogy on the Dog by George Graham Vest, 1870.
